Before you begin, we recommend you take some time to watch the YouTube assembly video and read through the instruction manual to familiarise yourselves with the parts and steps.
Make sure you have all the necessary tools required (which can be found in the instruction manual and videos), and use the supplied checklist to ensure all your parts are there. If you believe you are missing any parts, please contact our friendly customer service team so we can assist you before you start your build.
Have a clear work area and use a trestle table or workhorses, as this will make assembly faster and easier (not to mention how much better it will be for your back!).
Our chicken coops use the SNAPTiTE assembly system, which makes building a chicken coop easier as the SNAPTiTE lugs on the panels lock into the channels without the need for screws.
Simply tap the channel onto the SNAPTiTE lugs until they click into place, working your way along the sheet. The short side of the channel will face the outside (coloured side) of the panel.
The chicken coops come with pre-punched holes and can be easily fastened by overlapping the sheets by one rib and aligning the pre-punched holes. Should you have difficulty with holes aligning, we have some tips and tricks that may help.
Now that you are ready to start building, we recommend assembling the panels following the steps below. You may find having an extra person on hand helpful to move and hold panels during installation.
Building a chicken coop can take time and patience, we recommend you set aside at least a day for the smaller coops and up to a weekend for the largest.
